Who's invited? All road riders who can pace within one of our four riding groups (see section below.)
How long is each ride? Ride length and speed are set by which group you choose to ride in. All groups are “No Drop,” however all riders are expected to be able to pace within the group they choose to ride in.
When are the rides? Tuesday nights, weather permitting. Group 4 rolls out at 6:00 pm and groups 2 and 3 roll out at 6:30 pm. (Group 1 date and time determined monthly and will be posted on Facebook and through our 5RB Road Group on the GroupMe App.) Please be early and ready to ride at set time.
Where do the rides begin? 5 Rivers Bike Shop, 910 W Main Street in Morristown
What do I need to bring? All riders must have a serviceable bicycle with gears. All riders must wear a helmet. Lights are recommended.
Can younger riders join us? As long as the minor is with their parents and can keep pace with the group, younger riders are welcome. The parent/guardian must ride at the same pace as the younger rider.
What if I'm just starting out? We teach Group 1 riders the rules of the road, and how to ride safely. Be ready to listen to our guidelines, so that we can all keep riding!
Sounds great! How do I sign-up? Call 5 Rivers Bike Shop - (423) 616-0122 - before your first ride. Tony will help you chose the group that will give you the best experience. When you have joined our groups, we will be glad to add you to our GroupMe so you can get ride updates. Sometimes riders may also ride on the weekend, etc. and they can let the group know via the app in case others may want to join them.
